Court Appointed Receivers
Court Appointed Receivership, (a.k.a. “Keeper” in Louisiana) is a highly effective method for repossessing and gaining control of a distressed asset when the borrower has defaulted. However, it is only as good as the Receiver that has been appointed to the case. With over 30 years of experience in this field, AMREX brings our expertise and knowledge of the laws that govern Receivers and how to most effectively use those powers in association with the Receiver assignment. These laws can differ by state, so we continue to study the nuances within the law to insure we implement our powers properly. Once appointed by the court, AMREX will repossess and secure the property using the experience and resources we have acquired over the years. We will then select a management solution based on the needs of the asset. Environmentally impacted properties can present the note holder with a number of problems. AMREX has been assigned assets with a variety of environmental compliance issues, such as UST’s (Underground Storage Tanks), poultry processing plant and industrial waste run off. Receivership provides a layer protection to the note holder from having to take title.
